Laughter
sessions
July Retreat
October Retreat
Laughing for Health - Taster sessions Saturday 30 May 2009
A misconception is that laughing is something we only do because we are happy or find something humourous. In fact, it's the other way around - we become happier by laughing. In Laughter Clubs we learn to laugh for no good reason at all - except that it feels good and does our health a huge amount of good. It’s exercise without the effort.
These sessions
are suitable for everyone, you can sit in a chair if needed.
Come and learn techniques to use with your family friends and at work.
There will be no jokes and you don’t need a sense of humour
First
session 10.00 to 11.00am
Second session 11.30am to 12.30pm
Please just
come along at the time that suites you. Each session £2.00

10th - 12th 2009
at Lam Rim Buddhist Centre
with Carol
Young
The Centre is situated in beautiful countryside in South Wales less than an hour’s drive from Cardiff, near Raglan. This a place to escape the pressures of everyday living and recharge your batteries. Delicious vegetarian food is provided, many of the vegetables are grown in the Centre's own garden. The accommodation has recently been upgraded – the bunks have gone! The Coach House is set apart from the main Centre, and has been converted into 4 self-contained flats by Andrew Yeats of ECOARC.
This relaxing fun weekend is for people who are feeling stressed, anxious and in need of rest, recuperation and an opportunity to examine the way they are living and lighten up. You need have no experience of yoga. The only flexibility you need is of the mind--- to open to new things. If you are looking for a traditional yoga weekend or strong physical yoga practices this is not the weekend for you.
Life has been given to us to enjoy—to be joyful. Being relaxed in our bodies minds and emotions allows us to operate from a place of love and trust, coming to know our true selves. Learning to stretch, breath, slow down and calm the mind is so important to ensure we are at ease. Dis-ease can cause illness, stress, tension and unhappiness. This weekend will not emphasise the physical aspect of yoga, although we will be gently stretching and ridding the body of tension. We will be looking at the philosophy of yoga through discussion, and how it can help us day to day. We will use Laughter yoga—therapeutic laughter to connect with the lighter side of life and help us let go of stress, tension and being too serious. http://www.laughteryoga.org/
